Energy-related challenges are at the heart of present issues in our societies.
Growth of demand in emerging countries, technological and environmental challenges,
and the essential aim of sustainable development will be your areas of concern.
Ten years ago, energy used to be plentiful and cheap. It had become quite expensive,
before the current economic crisis brought about a reduction of prices.
However, anyone can feel that this situation is temporary. The bulk of our energy
consumption still remains dependent upon fossil fuels. Resources are limited, and
carbon dioxide emissions provoke climatic change.
Energetic transition is an unavoidable must. Priorities are energy efficiency, vehicles
with lower consumption, buildings better insulated, more efficient industrial processes.
The purpose of this Executive master, called «Energy and Global Policies», is to provide specialists
and managers in the energy sector or any related sector with a thorough knowledge about basic
mechanisms and the technical, legal, and financial aspects of energy. It is important that these
elements be integrated into a political and geopolitical dimension, so that participants are led to
take them into account during their decision-making processes.
By combining the savoir faire of Sciences Po’s professors on the world political scene with the expertise
of IFP School (a reference for research and training in all sectors related to the field of energy), the Executive
master “Energy and Global Policies” is a unique think tank which provides personalized monitoring and professional
support in a resolutely international perspective. ”
