Colloque annuel organisé par l’École
doctorale de science politique de l’université Paris
I Panthéon-Sorbonne. Cette journée d’étude
portera sur l’ensemble des mobilisations, des prises de
position, explicites ou non, qui visent à (dé)légitimer
ou à contester les rapports de domination, qu’ils
soient relatifs au sexe, à la « race », à
la classe, ou à l'âge et s’exercent dans un
régime démocratique ou autoritaire.

2010 joint ECSR TransEurope and QMSS2 conference, 30 September–
2 October 2010 Bamberg, Germany, “Analysing Education, Family,
Work and Welfare in Modern Societies: > Methodological Approaches
and Empirical Evidence”.
The conference welcomes abstracts for presentations by Senior
and Junior Researchers as well as PhD
Students from all across Europe and beyond. Abstracts should not
exceed a length of 200 words and should cover main hypotheses,
data, methodology and expected conclusions. They must be sent
to the respective Local Stream Organizer no
later than 31 March 2010 using the electronic abstract

15 avril 2010 - The EU as a Global
Actor
The Centre d’études européennes at
Sciences Po and the IRSEM have decided to run a joint doctoral
seminar. The workshop is open to all PhD students registered in
a European university since at least one year. It aims at enabling
young researchers to exchange ideas and discuss their research
with their peers and senior academic colleagues. The theme of
the workshop is “The EU as a Global Actor”. Preference
will be given to proposals dealing with original, specific and
understudied subjects (ie: the role of the EU after
the financial crisis, the perception of the EU by non European
actors, the European debate on Afghanistan, the assessment of
EU policy on climate change after Copenhagen etc...). Non- French
students are strongly urged to candidate.
At the end of the workshop, a 1,000 euros prize will be given
to the best paper, based on the quality of the text submitted
and of the answers to the questions and comments addressed during
the discussion. The prize will be awarded following a vote of
the participants to the workshop. The winning paper will be jointly
published by the CEE and IRSEM (Cahiers Européens de Sciences
Po, Cahiers de l’IRSEM).

15 avril 2010 - the 6th
ECPR General Conference
The 6th ECPR General Conference will be held at the University
of Iceland in 2011. The main academic forum will be organised
in the format of sections and panels, with each Section Chair
organising a variety of panels in a given field. The programme
is intended to be very broad and will be coordinated by the Academic
Convenors, Niilo Kauppi (Institut d'études politiques de
Strasbourg) and Jonas Tallberg (Stockholm University).
